What type of connection is best for your
company?
|
|
The answer to that depends on how many employees will be
working on the Internet, where they are located, what type of tasks they will be
performing and how often they will use it.
Generally, if you need fast Internet access for a few employees or access for larger
offices that will only use the Internet rarely, ISDN access might be your best solution.
|

|
However, if your company needs blazing fast access to the Internet for few or all your
employees, Frame Relay access becomes the most cost-efficient solution. Frame Relay can
also be used to host web and email servers in house if needed, making it a scalable
investment for anyone.
|
|
Both ISDN and Frame Relay service requires you to purchase a modem or router. If they are
to be used for multiple employees, the routers need to connect to your existing LAN
through Ethernet.
Finally, both options also need special lines to be installed at your location, so please
plan at least two weeks in advance for line installation from your local telephone
company.
